Projects range in scope across manufacturing optimization, quality transformation and new product development projects. As part of this team, you will support global operations by leading project teams through the scoping, development, transfer and validation of new and/or improved processes to manufacturing. The role will be responsible for running multiple projects from initiation to close. The role must have the ability to work well with all levels of management and requires strong communication and leadership skills coupled with operations and project management experience.What will you do?Support global operations and quality by leading project teams through the scoping, development, transfer and validation of new and/or improved processes to manufacturingRepresent operations on R&D NPI project teams, conduct operations extended team meetings to communicate and ensure two-way communication with the core teamCreate investment cases and financial justification for specific operations/quality initiativesPresent project proposals to executive management to gain approval to move forwardAccountable for critical/complex project execution within overarching portfolioLead periodic roadmap assessment and facilitate re-planning sessions as neededProduce leadership reporting for the program, advance critical issues and define mitigation strategiesPartner with business development to scope new business partnership opportunitiesHow will you get here?EducationBachelors’ Degree in Science/Technical/Business field or equivalent experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plusExperience8+ years of) project/program management and team leadership experience with solid track record in successfully leading project/programs from start to finishMinimum of 5 years of experience working in manufacturing operations, quality, or supply chainExperience leading sophisticated project/programs spanning over 6+ monthsExperience working with and managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously across a matrixed organizationExperience working in an FDA regulated environment is helpfulExperience installing consistency, transparency and accountability within a PMOKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesUnderstanding of design control quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements for medical device or diagnostics (ex. 510K submissions)Strong understanding of formal project management methodologiesDemonstrates strong business acumen and a bias for actionExcellent planning and leadership skills, ensuring that cross-functional team members understand roles and responsibilities and key deadlines are metExcel / analytical & PowerPoint development & delivery skills, suitable for executive level presentationsAbility to develop and run portfolio of projects – prioritization, tradeoffs, risk management, etc.Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on critical topics to senior managementDemonstrate problem solving capabilities and appropriate decision makingAbility to prioritize under tight time and budget constraints.BenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus scheme, healthcare, company pension, and a range of employee benefits!Thermo Fisher Scientific offers employment with an innovative, forward-thinking organization, and outstanding career and development prospects.
