- Provides guidance and supports the implementation of Oracle APEX features and service for rapid application development.
- Builds and maintains complex APEX applications to track cybersecurity authorization processes and other related cybersecurity standards and data.
- Designs intuitive web applications for displaying, navigating, and editing application data.
- Contributes to the design of database schemas, development of stored procedures and functions, and maintaining the general health of data sources.
- Reviews requirements documentation for accuracy and practicality of implementation, design, and development applications, and provide support for correcting any errors identified through systems testing.
- Supports the application/database development throughout the software life cycle from requirements analysis and design through to implementation and maintenance.
- Articulates technical concepts to non-technical audiences and, vice versa, translate functional needs to technical solutions.
- Participates in team meetings, document meeting minutes, and coordinate all aspects of the project.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems or related field.
- 10+ years working with Oracle APEX applications in version 18.1 or higher:
- Creating, updating, and maintaining applications, pages, reports, and forms
- Debugging and deploying applications
- Working with lists, interactive grids, other shared components
- Managing session states and data validation
- 10+ years working with Oracle databases -or- other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS):
- Writing performant UNION-based queries
- Writing Stored Procedures and Functions
- Understanding of database design and ETL methods
- Experience with Oracle ORDS (Oracle REST Data Services) configuration and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of relevant JavaScript libraries/frameworks typically used and supported by Oracle APEX which is necessary to enable the development of modern UIs.
- Must be able to collaborate with DevOps and Server administrators to investigate and troubleshoot errors. Follow architecture team's coding standards and best practices.
- Experience with GIT and Redmine.
- Experience with assisting other APEX developers.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience tracking and monitoring data, reports, and other information.
- Experience with data entry, retrieval, and maintenance of essential information in multiple databases.
- Experience drafting status reports and analytical and evaluative reports.
- Experience conducting research using search engines and other methods.
- Experience in cyber security a plus: practices/methodologies, associated technologies, application design and development and/or experience in an operational environment.
