All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Full-timeShift: DaysLocation: 2525 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210The role youll contribute:Processes specimens for pathologic diagnosis, tissue fixation, processing, preparing and staining slides for microscopic examination by the pathologist.The value youll bring to the team:Performs analytical activities related to specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special histologic staining, frozen sectioning, cover slipping and handling of irreplaceable tissue, surgical and body fluid specimens.May prepare specimens utilized for research requests.May transport specimens to/from collection sites and is responsible for shipment of specimens to/from collaborator sites; takes the necessary training to ensure compliance under federal/state /regulatory guidelines.Ensures special stains are performed on tissues, as needed.The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:Required qualifications:Associate's degree in related field: laboratory science chemical or biological scienceHistotechnician (HTASCP)A minimum of 1 year of relevant experiencePreferred qualifications:Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) - LicenseMedical Laboratory Technician (MLTASCP) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
