The Brass Tacks
- Lead Columbia Hospitality’s digital marketing team, providing strategic guidance and day-to-day management of the Senior Digital Media Strategist, Web Developer, and SEO Specialist.
- Mentor and support team members, strengthening platform expertise, campaign strategy, and SEO-driven content practices across the marketing team.
- Provide prioritization and clear direction to the digital team, ensuring alignment between paid media, SEO, and web strategies.
- Oversee paid media performance, site performance, and SEO efforts to ensure a unified and measurable digital marketing strategy.
- Guide campaign planning and prioritization for the digital team, fostering a culture of testing, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all paid digital advertising campaigns – including Google Ads, Meta platforms, Linkedin ads and other paid channels – ensuring strong ROI and alignment with each property’s unique positioning.
- Oversee strategy and execution of hospitality-specific advertising platforms, including Booking.com, Expedia Travel Ads, and metasearch.
- Lead SEO strategy and performance monitoring for all property websites, collaborating with internal and third-party experts as needed.
- Partner with the Web Developer to monitor, report on, and improve website health, including UX, load speed, mobile performance, and analytics tracking.
- Serve as a key collaborator to marketing, revenue, and property leadership teams, translating business goals into digital marketing strategies.
- Lead development of annual digital marketing budgets and strategic plans.
- Present digital marketing strategies and metrics in owner-facing presentations.
- Monitor and manage digital budgets to ensure spend is aligned with business goals, optimizing allocation across campaigns and platforms for maximum impact.
- Identify opportunities to improve how we track, interpret, and share digital results – owning and evolving the monthly reporting process to be more streamlined and insight-driven.
- Develop and implement SOPs for digital marketing tools, channels, and processes.
- Manage vendor and agency relationships related to digital media, web development, and marketing platforms/tools.
- Serve as a clear, confident communicator – able to distill digital performance and strategy for marketing team members, senior leaders, and owners.
- Stay current on industry trends, digital tools, and platform updates, bringing strategic oversight and forward momentum to Columbia Hospitality’s digital marketing approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a business-related discipline.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Hospitality experience preferred.
- Direct, hands-on experience managing paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Meta.
- Proven track record of relationship and stakeholder management, including collaboration with senior leaders and owners.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, website UX, and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
- Deep knowledge of performance marketing strategies, including PPC, retargeting, metasearch, and hospitality ad platforms.
- Strong people management skills with proven experience leading a team.
- Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A balance of creative, technical, and analytical thinking.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex digital strategies and analytics to key stakeholders with varied digital knowledge.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.

- This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position typically working Monday through Friday, with limited evening and weekend time commitments.
- This role is expected to be in-office four days per week (subject to change).
