
Sanitation Lead - 3rd Shift

- Lead and coordinate sanitation activities to ensure timely and effective cleaning of equipment, production areas, and facility.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, BRC, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, Food defense and company-specific sanitation standards.
- Train, coach, and mentor sanitation team members on proper cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and safety protocols.
- Maintain and update sanitation documentation, including cleaning logs, and chemical inventories.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, materials, and parts needed to complete sanitation.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and collaborate with QA to resolve any sanitation-related issues.
- Monitor and report sanitation performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and customers.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of sanitation equipment and PPE.
- Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1-3 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within sanitation or production preferred
- Strong working knowledge of: GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, FSMA, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Experience with chemical handling, titration, and sanitation validation techniques.
- Familiarity with allergen control, cross-contamination prevention, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and customer audit requirements.
- Proficient in using sanitation tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
