- Execute the bank's corporate banking strategy to meet growth and profitability objectives efficiently.
- Build and manage relationships with major corporate groups, offering comprehensive solutions including financing, capital raising, advisory, treasury, and risk management services.
- Oversee departmental business plans to ensure alignment with overall targets and drive sustainable growth.
- Review financial performance (balance sheet, income statement, and budgets) regularly, addressing variances with department heads.
- Deliver high-value banking products and services to wholesale and corporate clients.
- Communicate strategy, plans, budgets, and policy updates clearly across the wholesale team to maintain alignment.
- Ensure full compliance with central bank regulations and other governing authorities.
- Oversee the launch of new and innovative corporate banking products.
- Manage the Corporate Banking risk profile, monitoring portfolio quality to align with credit and executive committee expectations.
- Monitor the portfolio across various dimensions (industry, geography, product, client segment) and take corrective action when needed.
- Address audit findings and compliance issues with robust action plans.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and departmental effectiveness.
- 15+ years' experience in corporate banking.
- In-depth expertise in credit, lending, trade finance, treasury, liquidity and cash management, insurance, investments, and private banking.
- Proven skills in writing credit reports and business presentations.
- Strong relationship management skills with a sound understanding of risk management practices.
- Deep knowledge of corporate market, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
- Solid understanding of banking operations, finance, control, and risk management.
- Strong track record in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in lending practices and portfolio management.
