- Liaise between business Mechanical Design Architects and Applications Engineering.
- Participate in design reviews and plant introductions.
- Effectively communicate new ideas and concepts to engineering management and corporate staff as required.
- Collaborate with suppliers (internal and external), design, development, and validation groups.
- Maintain an open communicative style, readily accepting input from diverse sources while filtering information appropriately.
- Conduct internal design reviews to gather support and benefit from lessons learned within the larger engineering organization.
- Maintain an open issues log for all new components and keep detailed records of performance and deficiencies.
- minimum education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- experience: minimum of 5 years in the design and development of automotive driveline components preferably with a track record of launching new components into production
- specific skills preferred: Experience with AutoCAD/Inventor, Unigraphics NX or other 3d design software
- specific industry knowledge preferred: Castings, Hydraulics, Mechatronics
