This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.Starting Pay: (training) $18.82/ hr plus $0.50 shift differential (3rd Shift) after training pay: $23.53/hourResponsibilitiesCapstan Block Operator Responsibilities:Sets-up and operates Capstan to draw or sink tubing to required size listed on specifications. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate.
  • Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.
  • Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the “next customer” in a timely manner.
  • Sets-up and operates small Capstan Block after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheets
  • Sets up Pointer to produce workable point as necessary for threading through Bock die.
  • Performs reset to Pointer Blocks to produce workable point as necessary for threading through Block Die.
  • Visually inspects drawn tubing for visible defects, etc.
  • Maintains accurate records by posting and recording information as needed on traveler tickets and/or daily production sheets.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine’s training evaluation form.
  • Able to work various overtime as business needs require.
Other Functions:
  • Cleans and returns removed tools.
  • Attends meetings as required
  • Cross-trains in other areas as needed

  • High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent training as approved by Immediate Supervisor, Next
Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department. * Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine-specific SOP’s.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge in utilizing measuring devices.
