St. Joseph Center serves more than 10,000 people each year.Brief Description of Principal ActivitiesMultifaceted intervention, prevention, and education services are carried out at four sites on the Westside of Los Angeles. Now, we're looking for a visionary leader to elevate our data capabilities and ensure we remain a sector leader in ethical, outcomes-driven practices.Your ImpactAs Assistant Vice President of Data & Compliance, you'll be instrumental in shaping how data drives decisions that change lives. You'll lead enterprise-wide data strategy while ensuring compliance across our complex funding landscape, positioning St. Joseph Center as the gold standard for data excellence in homeless services.Strategic LeadershipArchitect the future: Develop integrated data and compliance strategies that align with LA County's evolving homelessness response systemExecutive advisor: Provide data-driven insights directly to our CEO and Executive Team to inform critical program and policy decisionsThought leader: Position St. Joseph Center as the sector leader in ethical data practices and outcomes measurementOperational ExcellenceCompliance mastery: Ensure seamless adherence to LAHSA, HUD, LA County (DMH/DHS), and City requirements while proactively managing riskSystems integration: Direct our participation in HMIS, Clarity, and integrated data systems to maximize interoperability and reporting accuracyAdvanced analytics: Lead development of predictive models, real-time dashboards, and performance metrics that drive service delivery optimizationTeam & CultureBuild excellence: Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development to Data and Compliance leaders while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environmentCross-functional collaboration: Bridge technical and programmatic teams to ensure data systems are user-friendly and meaningfulSector influence: Represent St. Joseph Center in regional policy forums and collaborate with partners like CA Policy LabQualificationsWhat You BringEducation & ExperienceEducational foundation: Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Data Analytics, Public Policy, Social Work, MBA, or related field strongly preferredProven leadership: 5+ years leading data management teams with demonstrated ability to deliver functional outcomesLarge-scale experience: Track record managing data systems and compliance at agencies, municipalities, or similar large organizationsEcosystem expertise: Deep knowledge of HMIS, Clarity, and LA's homelessness services landscapeChange leadership: Success managing cross-functional teams and leading complex transformation initiativesTechnical ExcellenceCompliance expertise: Strong foundation in data governance, privacy regulations (HIPAA, FERPA), and ethical data practicesAnalytics proficiency: Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytics to drive organizational performancePersonal QualitiesStrategic mindset: Systems thinker who translates complex data into actionable, mission-driving insightsCommunication excellence: Ability to engage diverse stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiencesMission alignment: Deep commitment to equity, client-centered service, and ending homelessnessEthical leadership: Unwavering standards in managing sensitive and confidential informationReady to Drive Change?Join us in reimagining how data can transform lives and communities.   • Develop and lead a high-performing Data and Compliance department, fostering a culture of innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
