Job DescriptionResponsible for developing the vision, and strategy for the Vendor Performance Management function and creating / reengineering a standardized set of policies, tools and practices for Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing. Ensures the achievement of optimal return on investment and effective procurement, implementation and performance management of CoBank's spend with external vendors across all vendor categories. Manages relationships with vendors to ensure they meet or exceed contractual obligations. Manages and/or provides support as applicable for projects. This role will play a leadership role in reengineering Vendor management process and technology to ensure we can manage vendor performance, establish governance cadence, ensure delivery and track continuous improvement effortsEssential Functions1. Bi-annual vendor segmentation planning to ensure we identify key strategic vendor, and develop plans and roadmaps for strategic vendor relationships.
2. Launches and establishes relationship mapping exercises with key service providers to identify strategic, operational, and tactical accountabilities (activities and individuals) with established set of partners.
3. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationship with managed services provider for contingent labor, vendors and suppliers.
4. Defines and designs business review cadence, metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs), and facilitates reviews of defined scope and key sets of vendors.
5. Partners with legal group to ensure the timely processing, review, execution and tracking of legal agreements, including licensing, statements of work, and non-disclosure agreements.
6. Oversees contract negotiation, contract renewals and other vendor management, procurement and sourcing activities.
7. Partners with the finance team to develop financial models, perform financial analyses, and recommend appropriate strategies for all vendor categories.
8. Collaborates with management to define cost savings, asset compliance and service improvements.
9. Manages and/or provides support for projects as applicable, with the goal of delivering on time and within budget and scope. Responsible for planning and tracking budget, variances, and deliverables as defined. Works with internal business leaders to define scope, project timeline, deliverables and priorities on individual and competing projects or business strategies.
10. Successfully creates and manages detailed work plans, including time, resources and expenditures.Education

Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.
