FULL BENEFITSOur client, a major Maryland Hospital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations and clinical excellence within the Emergency Department. This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing team, influence patient outcomes, and shape the future of emergency care at one of Maryland’s most respected community hospitals.ABOUT THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
  • 60-bed Emergency Department serving over 60,000 patients annually
  • Treats a broad range of cases including cardiac events, stroke, behavioral health, orthopedic injuries, and minor trauma
  • Includes a dedicated rapid care area for lower-acuity patients
  • Collaborative and skilled nursing team with a strong culture of support and engagement
WHAT YOU’LL DO AS NURSE MANAGER
  • Provide 24-hour operational and clinical leadership for the Emergency Department
  • Oversee daily patient care delivery, staffing, and team development
  • Partner with Assistant Nurse Managers to ensure efficient resource allocation and care coordination
  • Promote quality, safety, and patient satisfaction in alignment with hospital and system-wide goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school required
  • Active Maryland RN license (or compact state equivalent)
  • 5–7 years of clinical nursing experience; prior emergency nursing and/or leadership experience preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • National certification in nursing leadership or clinical specialty preferred
