Job Position: Lab TechnicianLocation: Ocilla, GAPay Rate: $17.00/hrShift: This position will need to work mid-shift and will be on a 24/7 rotating schedule (on 2, off 2, on 3, off 2, etc. - 2/2/3 rotation).Job DescriptionThe Quality Control Lab Technician position will consist of supporting manufacturing operations byproviding routine laboratory operations through routine analysis and organization in a QC/QAenvironment.Core Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)Maintain a clean, tidy and, above all, safe work environment, including cleaning laboratoryequipment and washing lab glassware.Inspect and accept samples, maintaining sample records and coordinating various analyses amongmultiple employees.Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition per prescribed standards andmethods.Set up, operate and perform maintenance on laboratory equipment as required.Analyze data, and perform calculations, as needed, to provide adjustment information for plantoperations to ensure product compliance.Determine sample conformity and take appropriate actions as needed.Maintain a database of all sample results, which includes maintaining multiple lab records, lab booksand spreadsheets.Use required personal protective equipment and demonstrate safe chemical handling.Aid other lab employees in the training of other newly arrived technicians.Inventory supplies and consumables.Other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.Qualifications:Able to read and follow written directionsWillingness to learn new tasks.Good basic math skills.Attention to detail with the ability to organize and multi-task.Able to work across all shifts and all locationsHigh level of organization both in the lab and work styleAbility to follow oral and written instructions.Ability to use spreadsheet programs to organize and analyze data and to create graphs of laboratoryresultsHands on; reasonably skilled with basic toolsAbility to work well in a collaborative environment with minimal supervisionAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.Positive professional attitude; optimisticExcellent communication skills, both written and oral·Minimum Education/experience:High school graduate, preferably with one year of Chemistry.
