Part Time College Counselor- Job DescriptionLa Salle Academy, an all-male college preparatory high school, seeks an experienced college counselor. Located in the East Village neighborhood of New York City, La Salle Academy is a small school with a 175-year history that enrolls a culturally diverse student population. It is a member of the international network of Lasallian Schools.Education: Master's Degree or higher.Experience: 3-5 years of college counseling experience desired. Familiarity/expertise with Naviance, The Common Application, and the CUNY application preferred. FACTS SIS knowledge a bonus.Responsibilities :
Educate and guide students and parents through the college application process.
Critique college essays.
Process college applications.
Provide academic and personal counseling to the students.
Communicate with parents, students, faculty, and administration regularly.
Organize, advertise and monitor college representative visits and Zoom calls.
Keep detailed and accurate records.
