OverviewJoin the Healthy Relationship Utah team as a Family Life Educator (FLE)! The primary focus of this position will be supporting USU’s Healthy Relationships Utah initiatives. The successful candidate(s) will coordinate local programming and teach parenting and relationship skills throughout the state of Utah, both in-person and virtually. Healthy Relationships Utah is an Extension initiative that offers educational programs in schools, jails, and communities throughout Utah (see ).This is a grant-funded position that will work and teach during daytime, afternoon and evening hours, as well as some Saturdays. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for coordinating with local DWS and DHHS offices, community partners, high schools, jails, Head Start, etc. This position will require travel (mileage paid), a flexible schedule, and evening hours. Preference will be giving to candidates who live in/near, or are willing to relocate to, the Wasatch Front, Southwestern Utah, or Southeast Utah. We are accepting applications for non-benefitted, wage-hourly positions, with an expectation of 20-29 hours per week.This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.ResponsibilitiesThe successful FLE candidate will be responsible for all aspects of programming associated with grant sponsored activities. A list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
Facilitate regular relationship education courses on-line and in-person.
Recruit, retain, and manage class participants (e.g., text, phone, email).
Develop, coordinate, and maintain partnerships with community organizations.
Coordinate with county Extension faculty to support county relationship education initiatives.
Coordinate incentives and other programmatic supports.
Maintain program, financial, and performance measurement records.
Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, trainings, and conferences.
Adhere to Domestic Violence prevention and performance measurement protocols.
Abide by the terms and conditions of the grant proposal and sponsor guidelines.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
4 years of relevant family life education experience or Bachelor’s degree.
Experience and passion for strengthening family relationships.
Experience working independently and as part of a team.
Experience in facilitating curricula-based programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint), Zoom, and email.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Reliable transportation (work mileage will be reimbursed by the grant).
Must be able to speak, understand and write proficiently in English.
Reliable Internet and a home office or work space to facilitate online classes.

3+ years of teaching experience (i.e., presenting, training, leading groups).
Experience with family-life related programming.
Experience with in-person teaching in a professional capacity.

Experience working professionally with families.
Experience as a social media influencer.
Certified Family Life Education (CFLE) endorsement.
Certified in family life education curricula.
Proficient in Spanish.
Residence in or near the Wasatch Front, Southwestern Utah, and Southeastern Utah.
