“Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates”Spring Harbor Hospital, located in Westbrook, Maine, is currently seeking to add an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in its newly formed Intensive Care Unit. This is a 6 bed general adult psychiatric unit, who services patients who may have experienced acute psychiatric illnesses and any other co-occurring disorders. It will provide a low stimulus environment focusing on both safety and symptom stabilization with the goal of transferring the patient to another adult unit when appropriate.The ideal candidate will have 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, great communication skills and the ability to work with a team of dedicated members. This role allows you to provide highly individualized care to our communities most acute psychiatric patients and their symptoms.Position Summary
  • The Registered Nurse provides patient care utilizing the nursing process in inpatient and outpatient facilities.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
  • License/Certifications: Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of counseling theory, physical and psychological effects of mental illness and substance abuse preferred
  • Knowledge of bio-psychosocial assessments required
