- Provide strategic leadership and direction to support high-quality care, clinical and regulatory compliance, quality functions, and consumer experience.
- Provide leadership, oversight, and management of direct reports, promoting a positive work environment.
- Coordinate nursing functions across the range of all agency programs and health related initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and manage the budget, monitor financial performance.
- Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, including healthcare organizations, providers, community resources and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitor staff practices and implementation.
- Serve as an active member of the Senior Management Team.
- Active participant in EOEA Designation Review, NCQA Accreditation, and various audits to ensure that clinical staff are performing and delivering contracted service.
- Develop appropriate staffing models to meet current and future staffing needs.
- Participate in agency committees as assigned.
- Attend internal/external stakeholder meetings as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of strategic planning, development, and evaluation
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations
- Knowledge of financial principles and program budgeting
- Ability to supervise both strong independent managers as well as those learning to grow into management positions
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively
- Able to perform with a highly developed sense of personal accountability and self-management
- Excellent management, organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement principles
- Active, unencumbered license to practice as a RN in Massachusetts
- BSN from an accredited college or university required, Master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years related work experience required. A minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system and experience in developing and managing new initiatives required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, supervisory and computer skills essential.
- A strong commitment to the agency's mission.
- Ability to work collaboratively, across the organization, and as part of a team
- Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications, Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
