Responsibilities:
As a BCBA you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of ABA programs and providing clinical leadership for children on your caseload. In these roles, you will directly supervise a team of RBTs/ABA therapists, collaborate with parents and educators, and ensure that the highest standards of service are met.
Key Responsibilities for All BCBA Roles:
- Clinical Leadership: Lead the development and execution of individualized ABA programs for children with Autism and developmental disabilities.
- Team Supervision & Mentorship: Provide guidance to and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and ABA therapists. For higher-level positions (BCBA II & III), this includes mentoring and supporting junior staff.
- Client & Parent Collaboration: Develop and maintain relationships with parents, teachers, and other team members, ensuring open communication regarding the child's progress.
- Program Development & Implementation: Design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to maximize client progress.
- Data Oversight & Analysis: Ensure the accurate collection of data and the timely reporting of client progress and outcomes. Use data to make informed treatment decisions.
- Supervision of RBTs: Oversee and support RBTs with the daily execution of therapy and provide guidance to ensure they meet best practice standards.
- Light Travel: Occasional travel to client homes, schools, and community settings for assessments, parent education, and program implementation.
- BCBA Certification (Required for all BCBA positions)
- Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience supervising and mentoring RBTs is preferred for higher-level positions
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a variety of responsibilities
- Passion for working with children and making a long-term difference in their lives
- BCBA II/BCBA III: As a BCBA II or III, you will have additional responsibilities, including taking a leadership role in program development, conducting formal evaluations, and mentoring less experienced BCBAs and RBTs.
- Leadership & Consultation: Provide consultation to teachers and parents about intervention strategies, curriculum modifications, and behavior management.
- Case Supervision: Take on a greater caseload and responsibility for treatment plans, evaluations, and ongoing client assessments.
- Experience with Catalyst data collection software is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish or ASL) is a plus
- Experience working in home, school, and clinic settings is beneficial
