Oyster Bay Yacht Club is a coastal casual designed club that is intended to be the center of life in the community with monthly activities and events. The Oyster Bay Yacht Club boasts a full-service bar with dining room, wide-covered verandas and a swimming pool with expansive views of meandering waterways and Cumberland Island.Oyster Bay Yacht Club and Harbour offers Marina Slip Memberships and Social Memberships in a private club atmosphere.Purpose: To provide a first-class experience to club members, their guests as well as private event guests.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include execution and completion of assigned tasks in a safe environment. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Job Responsibilities:
  • Proper use and proficiency with of a wide variety of kitchen tools and utensils.
  • Ensuring a high level of quality and consistency of product at all times
  • Participating and maintaining a TEAM environment that displays a high level of energy, engagement, and builds ownership
  • Maintaining sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in kitchen operations that meets company standards and complies with government regulations
  • Assist with the execution of imaginative yet cost effective seasonal restaurant menus, weekly specials, special event and banquet/catering menus
  • Learn and adhere to standardized recipes and preparations
  • Proper preparation and storage of food and ingredients.
  • Assistance with trash removal, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning.
  • Ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
  • Working the line during regular hours of operation and events
Working Conditions: Most work is done indoors, however some functions are outside on a deck.| Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverage safely and smoothly, demonstrating balance.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, reach overhead and will stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Employees will lift 20 – 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally, including dining room chairs and tables, living room furniture (with assistance), and boxes of supplies.

  • Experience as a Prep Cook/Line Cook in a full-service restaurant/banquet-catering facility
  • Impeccable Service Standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment while always maintaining professional demeanor
  • Team player
  • Willingness to maintain a positive teaming environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Steady, verifiable work history
