Utility Maintenance Mechanical Technician is responsible for mechanical Maintenance
service and repair in the areas of Utility Facility Dept.Job Details:
- 12-hour shift, 6AM-6:30PM or 6PM-6:30AM
- $24/hr(base pay), $1/hr for shift differential
- Temp to Hire
- Process water system (UPW, PCW, CHW, CW), CDA, Exhaust blowers, HVAC, Gas/Chemical supply system, WWT including all pumps, valves, fittings, and piping etc.
- Responsible for all plumbing, piping and mechanical parts installations, changes, upgrades, and repairs. (CCR monitoring / PCW / CT / CH / CDA / HVAC / FF / GCS / N2 / AR Rec. / WWT, WTP, REC, ETC)
- Ensure that all preventative maintenance on Facilities equipment is performed according to the established schedule and SOP (Standard Operation Procedure).
- Maintain equipment records. Help formulate maintenance plans including SOP’s & LOTO for seamless facility operations.
- Able to perform routine preventative maintenance tasks
- The upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of the facility's equipment and infrastructure.
- Completing work order assignments, meeting work deadlines.
- Conducting preventive maintenance on site and performing routine tasks to maintain equip
- Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum, and other appliances
- Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using chain falls, hand tools and jacks
- Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
- Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories
- Application of adhesives, lubricants, or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
- Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work
- Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts by utilizing power and hand tools, jacks and sledgehammer, abrasive, and other appliances
- Adhere to the policies and procedures
- +2 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
- Strong knowledge of the mechanical maintenance process
- Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
- Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
- Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
- Ability to handle basic tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance
- Strong knowledge of safety precautions
- Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.
- Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate-controlled
- Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
- Experience/Training in mechanical maintenance or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in a team of technicians.
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing codes and building codes.
- Proficient in mechanical systems and utilities within a manufacturing industry
- Relevant certifications are preferred and will be considered a plus
- In-depth knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing factory
- Experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
