Location: Boise, Idaho (Hybrid)A well-established engineering services firm with a long-standing reputation for quality and innovation in the building performance and commissioning industry is seeking a talented Commissioning Authority to join its team in Boise.This individual will be responsible for leading and managing building systems commissioning projects to ensure that systems are designed, installed, and operating according to the owner’s project requirements and industry standards. The role involves leading commissioning teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of high-performance, reliable, and efficient building systems.The firm offers a collaborative culture, career growth opportunities, and an employee ownership model that invests in the success of its employees.Key Responsibilities:Lead projects and personnel through the commissioning process, including:Review owner’s project requirements, design documents, and equipment submittalsDevelop commissioning plans, installation checklists, and functional test proceduresConduct commissioning meetings with project teams and contractorsCoordinate and communicate activities across multiple disciplinesPerform installation verification during constructionExecute testing and calibration of control system devices and equipmentDirect and perform functional testingWrite and review final reports and project documentationProvide building systems engineering expertise to construction project teamsManage commissioning teams and ensure project performance and deliveryMentor and guide junior commissioning staffSupport business development efforts and contribute to company growthAdditional duties as requiredQualifications:Commissioning certification from ACG, BCxA, NEBB, or equivalent recognized organizationPE license or Engineer-in-Training registration preferred (mechanical, electrical, or fire protection)Minimum 6 years of experience with mechanical systems (commissioning experience strongly preferred)Strong verbal and written communication skillsProven problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management abilitiesExpertise with construction documents, building systems, and controlsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesPhysically able to work at heights on lifts and ladders as neededSelf-motivated with a strong desire to grow professionally and contribute to the company’s successAdditional Requirements:Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screeningValid driver’s license and clean driving recordBenefits Package:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageCompany-paid life and disability insuranceFlexible Spending and Dependent Care accountsReimbursement for professional development and certificationsPaid time off (including holidays and PTO)Profit sharing and 401(k) planEmployee Ownership program with annual contributions
