As our Onboarding Specialist, you'll be at the heart of that experience-helping new hires transition smoothly into their roles and setting them up for success from day one.You'll be the friendly face and trusted guide through the onboarding process, ensuring every step is timely, compliant, and aligned with our mission to support people with developmental disabilities in achieving their highest potential.What You'll Do:As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll manage the end-to-end onboarding process and serve as the liaison between candidates, recruiters, and internal departments.You'll be responsible for:
  • Sending welcome communications and setting up onboarding accounts within 24 hours of new hire assignment
  • Managing required background checks (MHL, Fingerprinting, SCR, etc.) and screenings
  • Tracking documentation, verifying I-9s, and preparing files for New Employee Orientation
  • Communicating clearly and supportively with new hires throughout the process
  • Collaborating with recruiters and leadership to resolve onboarding issues
  • Ensuring all onboarding milestones and compliance deadlines are met
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting onboarding status updates regularly
What You Bring:
  • Experience in HR, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or administrative support
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and digital recordkeeping
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Friendly and professional communication style
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools, etc.)
  • A commitment to delivering a positive, people-first experience
