
Part-Time Architectural-Engineering Intern

- Assist in drafting technical reports based on field data and test results
- Assist in preparing estimates and proposals
- Assist with drafting construction documents and details
- Assist with business development needs, such as attending and scheduling events, creation of continuing educational programs, and writing media content
- Support and provide construction administration and quality assurance services, including making visits to jobsites to observe construction and collect data for report writing
- Maintain accurate and organized records of field activities including notes and taking photographs
- Assist and perform testing in the lab, including data collection and monitoring of testing as required
- Support testing at construction and project jobsites, including setup of equipment, data collection, and support while running the test
- Expected to travel based on the needs of the business
- Ability to perform physical work relevant to areas of responsibility and as assigned
- Currently pursuing a degree in construction, engineering, architecture or a related field
- Desire to learn about and gain hands-on experience with the building envelope including wall cladding systems, curtain wall, window and door systems, waterproofing, roofing, etc.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Good computer skills - Microsoft Office & Outlook
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Ability to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, roof levels, etc
- Ability to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull as needed
- Willingness to travel
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- AutoCAD / Revit experience
- Revu Bluebeam experience
- General knowledge of basic steel and concrete design and construction practices
