As a Field Service Engineer, you will help mills apply enzyme technology to improve operations. You'll provide technical expertise, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions on-site. This role works closely with sales, service, product management, and lab teams.Travel required: About 35% (domestic and international). The majority of the work will be done out of the Longview, WA area.Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve technical issues for customers
- Work with sales and lab staff to design solutions
- Support and run mill trials of enzyme technology
- Provide ongoing technical support and consulting to mill management
- Analyze mill data to measure technology impact
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction
- Explore different field roles in your first 2-3 years before specializing
- Bachelor's in Pulp & Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Experience with pulp & paper mills or similar operations (preferred)
- Able to travel freely within the U.S. and internationally
- Additional languages a plus
- Valid driver's license; able to pass background and drug check
- Fluid handling systems
- Lab and chemistry skills
- Use of lab instruments and data analysis
- Pulp & paper knowledge (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Data analysis for process optimization
- Work independently and in teams
- Persuasive with technical managers and staff
- Strong listening, problem-solving, and time management
- Effective written and verbal communication
