(PHS) at the University of Virginia is seeking highly qualified applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position.The successful candidate will be expected to:Work closely with , new Chair of the Department, as well as other investigators and staff in the PHS department and across the School of Medicine.Focus on methodologic research related to pragmatic clinical trials, adaptive interventions, and other study designs used in behavioral interventions and implementation science.Receive mentoring in grant writing and will have the opportunity to engage in multiple projects, including several National Institutes of Health and foundation grants.Obtain experience in digital behavioral interventions, remote data collection and monitoring, community-based participatory research, implementation science, and interdisciplinary team science.Participate in the development of publications for peer-reviewed journals and grant proposals to funding agencies.Funds will be available for conference travel and other training experiences.Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates must have a PhD in biostatistics, statistics or a related quantitative field, by the appointment start date.Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in R and SAS is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to work in a cross-functional team.This is a 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal of up to three years, contingent upon satisfactory performance.
