We are seeking a friendly, proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role will provide hands-on support for local and remote employees, assist in upgrading and maintaining workstations, perform hardware replacements, and support day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, good communication skills, and a willingness to assist with both routine and more complex support tasks.Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software.
Upgrade Windows from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
Perform hardware replacements and upgrades including RAM, keyboards, displays, etc.
User account maintenance via Active Directory.
Troubleshoot user issues with accessing external websites and systems.
Assist with setup, relocation, and IT equipment, including monitors, computers.
Document issues, resolutions, and IT procedures in a clear and organized manner.
Set up and maintain clean, organized, and fully functional workstations (monitor(s), docking station, cabling, peripherals, etc.) for new and existing users.
Monitor and track IT inventory and supplies (keyboards, mice, cables, adapters, toner, etc.) to help ensure availability and avoid shortages.
Requirements:
Experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and PC hardware.
Experience with account administration via Active Directory.
Ability to diagnose and repair common hardware issues on laptops and desktops.
Experience with networked printers and multifunction devices, including setup, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with physical office/IT equipment moves.
