- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a commercial credit analysis, credit officer, loan review officer, portfolio management, a related credit risk role within a bank or regulatory agency, or relevant experience within consulting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CRC, CFA)
- Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs
- Experience with presenting and effectively communicating observations to senior stakeholders, committees and /or other team members
- Exceptional verbal/written communication, leadership and analytical skills
- Exemplary client service skills
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple lending industries or deep specialization in one (including, but not limited to: asset based lending, agriculture, hospitality, healthcare, energy)
- Experience in commercial real estate underwriting or regulatory credit review for community, regional, national, or foreign banking organizations
- Familiarity with SBA lending, construction lending, agricultural lending, syndicated loans, shared national credits, or leveraged transactions
- Comprehensive understanding of credit lifecycle processes: origination, servicing, and review
- Proven ability to develop credit policies, risk rating methodologies, and perform stress testing
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state banking regulations related to credit risk
- Prior consulting experience or progressive leadership roles with supervisory responsibilities
- Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and provide leadership to a team
- Ability to exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintained profitability targets.
