Define and lead critical, architectural decisions for large-scale recommendation systems, providing sound technical direction and communicating effectively to a development team.
Design and implement flexible, scalable, stable and high-performance storage and computing systems.
Troubleshoot the production system, driving the design and implementation of the necessary mechanisms and tools to ensure the stability of the overall operation of the production system.
Build industry-leading distributed systems such as storage and computing to provide reliable infrastructure for massive data and large-scale business systems.
Develop comprehensive data products, improving ease of use and promoting these data products effectively within TikTok's diverse scenarios.
Bring new ideas and technologies into our platform, innovate and iterate.
Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high quality work in rapid product development.
Provide mentorship to senior and mid-level software engineers.Qualifications:Qualifications
Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:
Designing and building large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems with compute technologies and storage;
Evaluating and determining appropriate data storage, object-oriented principles, and design patterns and applying them to build Java-based high-throughput web backend systems;
Designing and implementing large-scale, distributed online software services using: Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, and/or Python;
Using unit tests, integration tests, and load tests to ensure quality of delivered software products and continuous software development pipeline; and
Maintaining and debugging software services.Type: Full time, 40 hours/week
