- Analyze business use cases to understand goals and value drivers.
- Create conceptual models using Meta Models, Ontologies, and Knowledge Graphs to represent domain structures.
- Develop logical and physical data models that support KPIs and product requirements.
- Ensure models meet output needs including SQL endpoints, dashboards, reports, and APIs.
- Support data cataloging, source-to-target mapping, and data quality rule setup for critical data elements.
- Optimize cloud databases (e.g., Delta Lake, OneLake) for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with governance teams to define global modeling standards and best practices.
- Work cross-functionally with data engineers, analysts, and other teams to implement and maintain robust data models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in data modeling within the property and casualty insurance industry.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, UML, and modern data modeling tools.
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of building scalable, efficient data models.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts, database technologies, and insurance industry data systems.
- Ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
