Komatsu supports a myriad of markets, including housing, infrastructure, water, pipeline, minerals, automobile, aerospace, electronics and medical, through its many brands and subsidiaries, including TimberPro, Joy, P&H, Montabert, Modular Mining Systems, Hensley Industries, NTC, and Gigaphoton.Job OverviewTo maintain and safeguard Komatsu Financial' s retail receivables through posting of cash daily, processing and set up of new receivables, i.e. retail contract, leases, barter, rental, making adjustments and corrections, as required, maintaining and improving the retail receivable system.ScopeKomatsu Financial (KF) provides a wide range of highly competitive retail conditional sale and operating lease financing options to the U.S. and Canadian market exclusively through our 30+ contracted Komatsu distributors and their customers. Additionally, KF provides financing services to Komatsu Mining Corporation, Komatsu America Industries and Komatsu America Forklift. Currently KF serves over 25,000 retail accounts with an outstanding portfolio gross balance in excess of $4 billion. KF also provides distributor wholesale financing with current balances in excess of $600MM.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDaily processing of new Retail credit applications in U.S. and Canada - consists of funding, set up and booking of the contract in the KF system. Determines and verifies required documents for contract type. Reconciles contract information and terms to approved program terms, following up to correct discrepancies. Researches machine/attachment balances on KF books before proceeds are sent to distributor.Expected End ResultCompleteness and accuracy of required documentation, adherence to current marketing sales rates/programs, completeness and accuracy of contract application set up, preparation of required actions for distributing retail proceeds to open Retail/Wholesale obligations.Daily processing of loan modification documentation - consists of processing Refinances, Lease Conversions and Renewals, Transfer of Equity and any other applicable documentation.Expected End ResultCompleteness and accuracy of required documentation, completeness and accuracy of contract preparation to dispose open retail contract, if applicable.Provide customer service by prompt response to all internal and external customer/distributor inquiries.Expected End ResultHigh level of customer satisfaction by prompt response and absence of complaints, thorough investigation/analysis.Safeguard company assets through examination of internal controls. Researches and prepares transactions to correct discrepancies.Expected End ResultReconciliation of assigned G/L accounts, preparation and submission of adjusting/correcting entries when necessary, reporting discrepancies in daily functions to immediate supervisor/manager.Maintain current working knowledge of Info-Lease and Rapport, their enhancements, and other on-line system programs.Expected End ResultInterpretation and explanation of accounting methods and procedures pertaining to the use of Info-Lease, preparation and submission of adjusting/correcting entries when necessary.Qualifications/RequirementsCollege degree BA/BS, Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent work experience, plus at least six months as Assistant Retail Portfolio Analyst.
