The Team Lead Meals & Beverage is responsible for the development and implementation to drive sales within trade rate, volume, profit and share growth within M&B categories. Responsibilities include proactively managing and delivering growth of the Campbell M&B portfolio. The role is responsible for leading the team to create/evaluate and update business plans to meet all sales objectives. In addition, the individual is responsible for implementing brand strategies and tactics with East Direct Grocery Team: Wegmans, Giant Eagle, Weis, KVAT & Ingles, by working closely with key decision makers and utilizing customer development, revenue management and category insights to implement Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP) objectives.What you will do...
- Leads the implementation of the strategic joint planning process at the senior-most levels with the customer.
- Partners with Acosta to support the back office for deductions and office administration.
- Ensures strategic customer plans are aligned to deliver the team's overall volume, profit and share objectives for each category and own internal alignment.
- Works with the Customers, Customer Sales Leads, Customer Development & the Sales Analyst to improve capability for creating insights-based products and marketing to drive sustainable profitable volume growth.
- Develops productive working relationships with the most senior leaders at customers at headquarters and/or regions.
- Ensures controls are maintained to measure and monitor sales spending, sales expenses, etc.
- Oversees the development and execution of brand strategies and strategic category management initiatives.
- Provides market/customer expertise and direction to World Headquarters on all customer/channel issues/opportunities.
- Resolve issues to appropriate closure as necessary.
- Manages the talent management process with an emphasis on succession planning and development of bench talent.
- Leads, coaches and develops members of the team.
- Leads the implementation of the strategic joint planning process at the senior-most levels with the customer.
- Manage a portfolio of $130MM
- Leads the communication and coordination with internal partners to include sales strategy, supply chain, customer planning and sales finance.
- Able to assess any customer requirements and aligns them with Campbell's strategic goals to help determine a customer investment strategy (use of trade, customer marketing, and integrated marketing equities) that will best support a customer's revenue, profit and share growth.
- Develop productive working relationships with senior levels within the customer's organizational structure, with the field execution teams and with the Meals & Beverage customer team.
- Always leading, coaching, and developing team members to achieve highest levels of performance and potential.
- Responsible for managing multiple projects with the customer, internal partners and field execution teams.
- Focused on the growth and financial performance of all categories within the Campbell portfolio
- Requires expert understanding and experience with total P&L management.
- Responsible for managing customers across regionally and geographically diverse markets.
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Years of relevant experience: 12+ years of CPG industry experience, including Field Sales and HQ experiences
