
Early Intervention ABA Teacher/Therapist

- Apply ABA principles and techniques to promote skill acquisition, enhance learning and modify interfering behaviors.
- Collect and analyze data on skill acquisition and interfering behaviors to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make data-based decisions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of skill acquisition progress, treatment interventions, and modifications to informal behavior plans.
- Develop and implement positive behavioral supports to improve interfering behaviors.
- Manage and de-escalate crisis situations effectively and safely.
- Develop tailored strategies for clients who exhibit high levels of interfering behaviors.
- Educate and train caregivers, parents, and other family members on ABA techniques and strategies to support client's development.
- Collaborate with families, related service providers and classroom/daycare staff for cohesive service delivery.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for collaboration of service provision. and coordinate treatment efforts.
- Engage in regular internal professional development with AAK's skilled ABA team to stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in ABA and related fields.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality regulations regarding client information.
- Ensure that all communications and documentation are managed securely and appropriately.
- Minimum of 10-12 hours of previous ABA training
- Reliable transportation, driver's license, car insurance
- Proficiency with computers and electronic billing systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, punctuality, and readiness to work!
- BA/MA/MS and New York State certification in any one of the following areas:
- Special Education Permanent Certificate
- Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2
- Teacher for Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
- Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH)
- Teacher of the Deaf/Vision
- Licensed Psychologist
- $60-$90 per 60 minutes

Topics include ABA Data Collection, How to Handle a Crisis Situation, ABA Basics and Practical Applications, and coaching parents on different intervention strategies to help their child carry over skills in daily home routines
