- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Define target markets, customer segments, and potential partnerships.
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Network and build rapport at industry events, conferences, and through professional connections.
- Represent the company professionally and effectively in external engagements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Legal, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
- Assist and contribute to the business development team strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics for new business acquisition.
- Negotiate and close complex deals and partnerships.
- Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and revenue generation.
- Develop and manage budgets related to business development activities.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented, and positive team environment.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats.
- Analyze market data and provide insights to inform business development strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, progress against goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities in relevant CRM systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Five to ten years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, or operations with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, negotiation techniques, and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including general contractors and executive leadership.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Ability to travel as required – up to 50%
