TERMINAL MANAGER WITH SALES EXPERIENCEPurpose of the position is to coordinate daily dispatch, customer service and driver functions. Maintain and report key performance indicators that improve revenue streams, while promoting safe and efficient deliveries and terminal operations.Key responsibilities and duties:Deliver and promote best in class support, integrity, opportunity and fairness for customers.Deliver and promote best in class support, integrity, opportunity and fairnessIdentify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining the sustainability of core business.Knowledgeable in the development of technical skills and data management.Utilizes appropriate resources to research and improve revenue.Ability to implement/follow standard processes, to successfully overcome operational challenges.Ability to identify opportunity and efficiencies of freight that result in increased revenue for driver and motor carrier.Use and promotion of a standardized process across Quality operations.Responds promptly and appropriately to staff, phone, email and all other business communications.Support operational success, market share growth and new business opportunities.Utilization of software and data to collaborate operational success within multiple terminals.Knowledge and scope of operations, transportation as it pertains to freight delivery and compliance.Communicates effectively with appropriate audience.Completes administrative duties, projects and assignments as needed.Manage all aspects of Independent Sub-Contractors, staff and property with integrity.Academic or trade qualificationsGED or equivalent is required. Knowledge of PC Operations, Microsoft Office, Operating Software, Data Entry, Office Machines and Administrative Office Processes. Analytical thinking, process management, self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Technical experience and or education in transportation safety. Prior transportation industry knowledge or experience a plus or agrees to develop the necessary knowledge to be successful.Requires good verbal and written communication skills.Requires good organizational and time management skills.Ability to perform consistently with a high degree of accuracy.Manages staff and promotes a team culture.Displays positive attitude. Understands and motivates individual contributions and team performance.Identifies and supports opportunities that reduce claim/ insurance cost and provide useful data with operations.Some relocation assistance may be provided for the right person.
