Summary of need:
To provide nursing interventions and medication administration consistent with the established systematic problem-solving approach for the delivery of comprehensive nursing care, which are compliant with the regulatory standards in a juvenile correctional setting.
Facility Overview:
The Client is located in Auburn, New York. The youth served at client are female, adjudicated, juvenile delinquents who are placed with OCFS by Family Court. Depending upon the sentence, youth may remain in OCFS custody until the age of 21. Client is accredited by the American Correctional Association and has a current population of approximately 20 youth.
Job duties:
Job duties include, but may not be limited to: maintaining general medical inventory (including controlled substances); conducting medication administration; reviewing the overall health conditions of youth (i.e. preparing, reviewing and evaluating nursing intervention plans); ensuring that interventions are consistent with comprehensive treatment plans; participating in staff trainings; preparing required clinical and administrative reports; maintain infection control standards; and, serve as a member of the facility's medical treatment team. Additional duties to be discussed in detail during the interview.Qualifications: Licensed and registered to practice nursing in New York StateNursing services, 6 full-time positions available, RN hired for position must work a minimum of 3 shifts per week 12 hour shift, 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am, 10am-10pm and 10pm-10am shifts, alternate weekend shifts, holidays shifts and overtime may occur.
Vendor is to bill in quarter hour increments where anything 8 minutes or greater will round up and anything 7 minutes or less will round down.
Initial estimated service dates are for [4/18/24-3/31/25], however services may be extended for up to a total of two years at the same rates upon mutual agreement between the hiring agency and awarded vendor(s).
The award will be made to the vendor(s) who provide the best overall value based on a combination of price and candidate qualifications.Healthcare Background Check Type
**Background Investigation Requirements:
1) All prospective employees will be investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC), which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks. Prospective employees will be fingerprinted in order to obtain a record of their criminal history information.
2) All prospective employees will be screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR).
3) Prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
