- Operate all forklifts and attached equipment; exhibiting a high level of safe practices at all times to ensure no damage or harm to the operator, other persons, forklift, physical structures, or the product.
- Reports mechanical or electric problems to appropriate personnel.
- Inventories material on production floor; supplies workers with materials as needed to maintain continuity of operations.
- Scans, tracks, records, and communicates material information to appropriate areas, persons, or on appropriate production reports.
- Keeps correct pallets, cartons, lifts ready for various operating units.
- Banding and warehousing of finished product to specification, as necessary.
- Responsible for locating material in plant in accordance with production requirements and transporting locations in the warehouse.
- Visually inspect finished goods for proper product, packaging, labels, count, etc, before storing in a location.
- Responsible for proper product identification to prevent errors in with data entry and inventory.
- Properly labels and tags materials as called for in work orders as required.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality, including being available for overtime whether offered on a voluntary or mandatory basis.
- Observe all plant safety rules and regulations, wear proper safety attire at all times.
- May perform other duties that are not fundamental to the overall purpose and strategic impact of the job.
- Performs semi-routine job involving some variety of detail and requiring judgment.
- Ability to obtain and retain knowledge of pertinent occupational safety rules and practices.
- Ability to reason through problems.
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to visually check equipment to detect adjustments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
