- Attend meetings and serve as a liaison between Northrop Grumman, the customer and partner contract teams
- Assist and develop proficiency with various engineering and operational duties as required
- Support integration & test process development & execution
- Address obsolescence via tech refresh
- Develop and provide classroom and simulator training
- Develop operating procedures and work instructions
- Perform installation and maintenance (hands-on technician role) using Navy Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) processes
- Perform and support the review and analysis of engineering schematics, supplier design data, support of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration on fielded systems
- Liaison with other organizations (Navy, shipyard, co-contractors)
- Represent the organization as the system matter expert (SME) on projects
- Interact with senior external stakeholders on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations
- Support business development opportunities
- Able to work after hours and weekends as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 10+ years of related experience. An additional of 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 10+ years experience with undersea sensor payloads and their associated maintenance and troubleshooting
- 10+ years extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV)
- 10+ years extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV)
- Strong understanding of UUV and ROV subsystems, sensors, mission planning, data perception, and post mission analysis
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. Must have active DoD Top Secret Clearance to Start. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain, Department of Defense Top Secret with SCI Access and Counter Intelligence Polygraph for continued employment.
- 5+ years experience with ESD/Component Handling
- 5+ years experience with the use of Electrical Test Equipment
- A fundamental understanding of optical fiber principles (Light propagation, reflection, refraction, losses, attenuation, fiber types, components, terminations)
- 5+ years experience with the use of Fiber Optic Test Equipment (OTDRs, Power Meters, Light Sources)
- Electrical Assembly (wiring, termination, soldering)
- Experience with Shipyard Environment and Familiarity with the Navy JFMM
- Experience with Navy education and training methods and philosophy
- Understanding of Hydraulics Components and Drawings
- Understanding of Mechanical Principals and Drawings
- Computer Networking
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Able to work without appreciable direction and exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment
