- Lead a team of first line leaders and engineers who are the primary technical authority.
- Maintain full ownership of the cost, schedule, and technical execution for all work scope within your organization.
- Drive collaboration between your team and other adjacent organizations such as Systems Engineering, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Flight Sciences, NG&C, etc. to ensure appropriate technical rigor is always achieved in a timeline that supports program commitments.
- Develop and maintain close customer relationships to foster partnership in all outcomes.
- Provide senior level leadership and engagement to a wide range of critical subcontractors and suppliers to ensure product deliveries are upheld with the appropriate level of technical rigor.
- Maintain full command over program priorities and schedules and hold your team accountable to achieve key milestones and deliver value.
- Reinforce the “Design for Manufacturability” mindset throughout the organization and drive outcomes to achieve efficient and affordable AUR production.
- Regularly presenting technical status and issue resolution to program leadership, customers, and other applicable stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional work experience
- Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience in aerospace hardware systems and processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required
- 3+ years of progressive experience in the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace or defense systems
- Schedule/planning experience
- Experience with requirement development and management
- Experience Guiding the successful completion of major programs and functioning in a project leadership role.
- Cost account management (CAM) experience
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Hardware experience, including design, analysis, assembly, Integration and Test.
- Knowledgeable at a systems level in the areas of stress, propulsion, harness routing, strength of materials, subcontracts, electrical design/analysis, software, transportation, and launch operations.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers.
- Experience developing Proposal documents and Basis of Estimates (BOE's)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and customers, simultaneously and independently
- Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality…)
- Active or Current Secret clearance
