- Enter budget amendments and monthly journal entries
- Completes monthly bank reconciliations, including Central Bank Reconciliation
- Complete monthly bank wires and ACH payments
- Record all bank activity including ACH wires in, wires/ACH Payments and MTM activity
- Project maintenance including activating and deactivating projects
- Prepare schedules for annual audit and financial statements.
- Maintain City's fixed asset records.
- Complete due diligence on checks 6 months or older and send payment to state, if needed
- Assist with Accounts Payable review if Finance Tech III is unavailable
- Assist in annual CIP and budget documentation for submission to Council.
- Conduct research and analysis as needed.
- Various projects and tasks as assigned.
- One year professional accounting experience, preferably in the municipal government area.
- Working knowledge of current GAAP and internal control requirements.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet, database and word processing software.
- Ability to analyze data and use a variety of information sources to accurately compile financial information.
- Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
