- Provide direct physical and emotional care to residents, including personal hygiene, transferring, and lifting.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and meal support.
- Accurately observe, record, and report resident care, conditions, and concerns.
- Communicate through reports to staff on preceding and oncoming shifts.
- Provide housekeeping duties, including cleaning common areas and resident rooms.
- Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and provide tours when necessary.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow resident care plans and maintain a safe living environment.
- Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.; pushing, pulling, or lowering up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to push a resident in a wheelchair up to 350 lbs.
- Utilize safety equipment such as gait belts and mechanical lifts as required.
- Follow proper procedures for resident care, including two-person lifts when necessary.
- Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and participate in required documentation.
- Participation in company drug testing procedures.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
