
Water & Mold Technician

- Respond to water damage emergencies including burst pipes, leaks, flooding, and storm damage.
- Perform water extraction, set up and monitor drying equipment, and document moisture readings.
- Conduct mold inspections, set up containment barriers, and operate negative air machines and air scrubbers.
- Safely remove mold-affected materials, clean, disinfect, and restore affected areas.
- Assist with demolition and disposal of contaminated building materials when required.
- Maintain detailed documentation including photos, moisture logs, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IICRC, and company safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with project managers, homeowners, and insurance representatives.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering reassurance during stressful situations.
- Previous experience in water restoration, mold remediation, or construction preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper use of drying equipment, air scrubbers, and remediation tools.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces, wet environments, and areas with potential microbial growth.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration and/or Applied Microbial Remediation is a plus.
