We are seeking a motivated Water & Mold Technician to join our restoration team. This role is responsible for responding to water damage emergencies, performing extraction and drying, and assisting with mold remediation projects. The Water & Mold Technician ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards to restore properties to a safe and habitable condition.Job Type: Full Time, On-siteResponsibilities for the Water & Mold Technician:
  • Respond to water damage emergencies including burst pipes, leaks, flooding, and storm damage.
  • Perform water extraction, set up and monitor drying equipment, and document moisture readings.
  • Conduct mold inspections, set up containment barriers, and operate negative air machines and air scrubbers.
  • Safely remove mold-affected materials, clean, disinfect, and restore affected areas.
  • Assist with demolition and disposal of contaminated building materials when required.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including photos, moisture logs, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, IICRC, and company safety standards.
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, homeowners, and insurance representatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service, offering reassurance during stressful situations.
Requirements of the Water & Mold Technician:
  • Previous experience in water restoration, mold remediation, or construction preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of proper use of drying equipment, air scrubbers, and remediation tools.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces, wet environments, and areas with potential microbial growth.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
  • IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration and/or Applied Microbial Remediation is a plus.
