ASC Group, Inc., a cultural and natural resources consulting firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We have immediate openings for Archaeology Field Technicians for projects located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and neighboring states, ongoing and starting soon. These include in one south central Pennsylvania, near Gettysburg National Military Park and forthcoming data recovery excavations in Ohio. Field technicians will be working under the supervision of a Field Supervisor and/or Principal Investigator. The ongoing and future projects should see work through the late fall and early winter.Minimum requirements include an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field; field school or archaeological field experience (previous work in Cultural Resource Management preferred); good organizational skills; and ability to maintain neat and accurate field notes. We pay a competitive hourly rate. You must provide personal PPE like gloves and boots. Other required PPE will be provided.Hours may vary and may include weekday and weekend work. This position works outside in various conditions including heat, cold, sun, rain, and other weather conditions. Employees in this role must be able to bend and squat for long periods of time, navigate uneven terrain, use shovels to dig and move dirt, lift, pull, and move upwards of 40-50 pounds.This position requires travel and overnight stays for many of the field projects. In these instances, employees should expect to travel in Company vehicles, unless notified otherwise.
