Worker Type: EmployeeJob Post End Date: 09/12/2025About this opportunity:Cenovus is hiring a Turnaround Scheduler for our refinery in Lima, Ohio. This role is responsible for loading detailed job plans into Primavera P6, applying logical ties, leveling resources, and defining the critical path for turnaround events or projects. The Scheduler will collaborate with planners and engineers across disciplines to ensure full scope integration and develop a fully integrated, resource-loaded schedule. Additional responsibilities include maintaining schedule logic, fast-tracking discovery work during execution, and finding opportunities to optimize scheduling efforts.Interested in working in Lima?What you’ll do:Develop, maintain, and update the integrated turnaround schedule in Primavera P6, covering all phases from planning through post-execution.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Planners, Cost Analysts) to ensure alignment on priorities, resource loading, and schedule accuracy.Generate and distribute key schedule reports, including 3-Shift Look-Ahead, labor histograms, and daily updates for leadership and contractors.Perform schedule risk analysis, maintain schedule quality controls, and ensure all changes are accurately captured and reported.Support execution by monitoring field progress, tracking additional work requests (AWRs), and driving system turnover achievements.Maintain and update post-turnaround schedules, track outstanding work, and provide historical data and benchmarks for continuous improvement.Who you are:Legally authorized to work in the US8+ years of experience in refinery or petro-chemical industry with planner/scheduler experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentExpert knowledge in Oracle Primavera P6 Version 20 + Web (EPPM) project configuration and full understanding of user preferences utilized to successfully provide a fully functional schedule in a major turnaround settingBasic understanding of refinery process, equipment, terminology, and work practices requiredEffectively working cross-functionally across various functions to articulate and secure functional support for the projectWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT SEPTEMBER 12, 2025.Internal candidates that are currently in a lower grade will be assessed based on their sustained job performance, how they demonstrate the expected organizational competency behaviors and values and in discussions with their current leader prior to determining next steps.Cenovus was ranked one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2025.
