  • Prepare incident reports in event of mishaps, accidents, and near misses.
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by selecting and training employees; and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Administer and submit reports on performance management.
  • Oversee performance management.

  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • College degree, trades certification, or equivalent industrial manufacturing experience required
  • 4-6 years of manufacturing experience, including 2-3 as a leader, ideally in the plastics/packaging industry
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of task management, inventory controls, and logistics
  • Industrial machinery troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to a maximum of 40 to 50 lbs.
