Overview:Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, we are looking to hire nurses who have just completed their educational requirements. The Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN / Graduate LPN) works providing medical and counseling services as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00/hr (Increases available upon passing board exam.)Schedules Available:
  • Sunday - Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
  • Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Responsibilities:
  • Works under a limited permit issued by the New York State Education Department Office of Professions and works under the direct clinical supervision of a designated Registered Nurse.
  • MUST be on same unit at same time as designated supervising Registered Nurse.
  • Provide patient services for medical related issues.
  • Provide direct patient care.
  • Implementation of medical orders, communicable and infectious disease reporting in accordance with the law.
  • Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Must have Limited Permit issued by the New York State Education Department Office of Professions prior to start date.
  • Graduate of a New York State Practical School of Nursing and is currently registered for the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) in New York State.
  • Must obtain Practical Nurse License within 90 days from date of hire.
  • Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance use disorders preferred.
