Job DescriptionWe are seeking 2 dedicated professional individuals with exceptional customer service skills to join our Medical Call Center team. These part-time positions combine two vital roles:
  • Inbound Medical Call Center Support
  • Ambulance Pre-Billing

  • Must excel in all aspects of customer service and have the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a calm, professional manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-starter, with the ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and follow up appropriately.
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization while maintaining a professional demeanor with patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners.
  • Healthcare background (EMT, CNA, medical assistant, ETC.) strongly preferred.
  • Medical billing experience a plus.
ResponsibilitiesInbound Medical Call Center
  • Answer incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners.
  • Access patient medical records to provide information such as medication verification, care instructions, and appointment confirmations.
  • Take and document detailed messages for on-call nursing staff, asking appropriate questions to gather critical patient information (signs, symptoms, etc.).
  • Refer urgent concerns to the appropriate on-call clinician and relay details via text message.
  • Follow up with on-call staff to ensure timely patient care.
  • Accurately document all calls and actions in the Message Center and the patient’s EMR system.
  • Record non-urgent matters for follow-up during normal business hours.
Ambulance Pre-Billing
  • Review ambulance transport documentation and verify billing information prior to claim submission.
  • Ensure accuracy of patient demographics, insurance coverage, and medical coding to reduce claim denials and speed reimbursement.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
  • Interact with payers to secure timely payment.
  • Verify payer coverage through resources available.
  • Maintain knowledge of payer regulations, timely filing deadlines, payment and appeals policies and procedures.
  • Represent the organization professionally and appropriately.
  • Answer inbound calls daily from customers, vendors, as well as other calls.
  • Communicate with all facilities, Brewster employees and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work in and participate in a team environment while performing at the highest standards independently.
