The Cloud Systems Administrator is a key member of the IT Department who will play a crucial role in designing and managing our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers and network engineers, to design scalable and resilient cloud architectures. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and improving our overall cloud strategy. This role will expose you to cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to the companyâs digital transformation journey.Primary Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure to support our organizationâs applications and services.
- We expect you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and provide technical recommendations for cloud solutions.
- You shall ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud environment by monitoring system metrics, identifying issues, and implementing timely resolutions.
- You will participate in capacity planning activities to anticipate and meet the needs of our growing cloud infrastructure.
- We expect you to automate deployment and configuration processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- You shall collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to ensure documentation is maintained related to cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
- You will assist in troubleshooting complex issues encountered in the cloud environment, working closely with developers and network engineers to resolve them efficiently.
- We expect you to install, modify, enhance, test, and implement standard configurations for deployment of workstations, servers, and other network components, and client software.
- You will develop secure automated solutions for administrative and domain management tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBS, Python, etc.
- You will develop, maintain, and enhance local systems and applications, and implement adaptations for 3rd party solutions incorporated into the production environment.
- We expect you to conduct and support authorized vulnerability scanning on systems, networks, database, and applications.
- You will participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- You will coordinate, manage, and lead diverse technical support tasks and incident response actions.
- You will supervise the deployment, configuration, and administration of infrastructure resources (On-Prem and Cloud).
- We expect you to assist the help desk, as needed, with incidents when escalated to the team.
- We expect you to stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in cloud computing, evaluating, and recommending new technologies that can enhance our cloud infrastructure.
- The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for mentoring the Cloud Systems Administrator for daily operations.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of prior corporate IT systems administration experience.
- Significant experience in Active Directory (Azure AD Services and On-Prem).
- Significant experience in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Significant experience in Microsoft M365 environment.
- Significant experience in automation and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of DevOps best practices and CI/CD principles.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge with ITIL framework and service support models.
- Cloud infrastructure transformation at a technical and cultural level.
