We are seeking an experienced and motivated Facility and Production Manager to oversee our production facility's operations. The ideal candidate will ensure our manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage both the physical facility and the production processes.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the production facility.
  • Ensure all production processes meet quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet business goals.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the production team.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to meet production targets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Handle budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Essential Job FunctionsFacility Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the production facility, including equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and compliant with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related services.
  • Develop and implement facility policies and procedures.
Production Management:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the production process to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop production schedules and monitor workflow to meet production targets.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Implement and monitor production KPIs to measure efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Management:
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address employee concerns and provide support to ensure high levels of morale and job satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage innovative ideas from team members.
Quality Control:
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure products meet quality specifications.
  • Identify and resolve any production or quality issues promptly.
Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the production and facility maintenance budget.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure that production activities stay within budgetary constraints.
Health & Safety:
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field or 5 years of facility/production supervision experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in production planning.
  • Strong communication skills, basic office software, and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • This role requires working in a production facility, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • The Facility and Production Manager may need to work extended hours or weekends to meet production deadlines.
