DescriptionThis position allows for a hybrid arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the office. Depending on your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.This is a senior-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Civil/Structural Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
  • Support Civil and/or Structural design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team.
  • Under supervision, responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings, specifications, and engineering reports. Ensure that calculations and deliverables are technically sound and in accordance with project requirements
  • Apply civil and structural engineering principles to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components.
  • Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs
  • Mentor junior engineers
QualificationsMust be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.Essential skills and experience:
  • Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
  • BSCE, BSSE, or BSME degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; MS degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in civil and structural engineering
  • Experience with producing engineering designs for foundations, structures, and support structures
  • Familiarity with design codes such as ACI, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software such as ANSYS or SAP2000 or equivalent
Valued but not required skills and experience:
  • P.E. license
  • Multiple years of experience in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial or Navy), highly desirable
  • Structural Engineering (SE) Licensure
  • Field Engineering and Construction Experience

Compensation Range$82,380.00 - $125,860.00Transparency StatementSargent & Lundy discloses compensation ranges that comply with all local and state regulations.
