Training Instructor
Location: Everett, WA
Hourly rate: $45.00 - $48.00
Contractor benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.Defines project scope and recommends deliverables, budget and resources. Oversees curriculum development, review of course content and instructional materials, testing and system access requirements. Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods. Performs as a lead instructor in a specialized content area. Deploys development tools and monitors implementation. Identifies potential issues that impact performance and leads the performance analysis and development of improvement recommendations.Position Responsibilities:
• Lead projects designed to produce educational deliverables
• Perform ongoing monitoring of stakeholders operating environment and key business measures and objectives
• Coach and develop less experienced instructors
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer Sessions to qualify additional instructors
• Deploy development tools and monitors implementation and performance outcomes
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide training consultation services
• Identify and validate training by observing, measuring, testing, reviewing, and analyzing training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively
• Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers (e.g., curriculum developers, instructional systems designers, engineers, programmers, strategic learning advisors, etc.) to develop creative training enhancements, guided skills practices, job aids, capstone projects and activities to assist learners during and after trainingRequired:
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
• Experience in coaching, instructing or as an employee development specialist
• Experience designing and employing leadership development courseware and/or curriculum
• Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
• Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance (all 3 not needed together but plus if knowledge of all)Preferred:
• Aerospace Manufacturing and Lean Certification(s)
• Experience with Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, Systems, etc.
• Experience as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, electrical, or other systems
• Experience in the following areas: Electrician/Structure/Wing/Spar Assembly, Needs Assessment and Job AnalysisWork Schedule/Shift Expectations:
• IMPORTANT: Candidates need to be flexible between working 1st and 2nd shift. Openings are primarily for 2nd shift but some 1st shift work/training might be required during the assignment.
• (First Shift Core Hours: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM) (Second Shift Core Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
