Elementary RTI Teacher -Flexible Schedule

- Assist and support teaching team in the delivery of standards-based curriculum to selected students
- Successful experience in teaching reading and/or math with a strong emphasis on the individual child
- Provide remedial/intervention instruction to students in small group and in team teaching situations
- Provide consistent and data-driven progress monitoring with frequent assessment and consistent, organized reporting and an emphasis and focus on student growth
- Analyze student achievement data and use results for instructional interventions
- Create a teaching environment that is conducive to learning and encourages and develops student esteem
- Establish and maintain strong and trusting relationships with students and be driven by student growth and achievement
- Participate in the Child Study progress including a summary of student progress and need
- Collaborate with RTI and ELL team as well as grade level teams; communicate student progress with homeroom teachers on a frequent basis
- Employ the use of technologies in the teaching/learning process
- Use effective communication skills (oral and written) to present information accurately and clearly including the use of technology
- Attend and participate in all faculty and staff meetings (dependent upon position hours and role)
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues and be a strong and collaborative team player
- Knowledge or experience in the following programs or curricular areas would be beneficial but not required:
- Fundations/Wilson Reading
- Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI)
- DIBELS
- Read Naturally
- Guided Reading/Fountas and Pinnell
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Experience with RTI or reading license preferred
- MA Department of Education certification/licensure required
- Flexibility with hours possible part-time or full-time position
